R&B/Soul singer and songwriter K.Michelle will soon be appearing in reality TV series "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta". Many celebrities opt to appear in reality TV shows to get fame and publicity. Does K.Michelle have the same intentions? The singer talked about her upcoming venture with VibeVixen.com and answered all such questions. She said that on the show, her fans will remain hooked with her.

"Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" is an Atlanta-based spin-off of the original "Love & Hip Hop" series that has premiered on VH1. The series is produced by Stefan Springman, Mona Scott-Young, Toby Barruad, Stephanie Gayle and Carlos King.

K. Michelle is an integral member of the cast. She is extremely excited to be a part of the show. She said in the VibeVixen interview, “One thing R. Kelly told me is that once you get the attention, you have to keep it with the talent.” She further said, “My main focus has been my music and it’s not gonna stop. I was signed to a record label, and I hardly got any promo. I can see today that more people are picking up old music like it’s new. I think it’s gonna help me and people get to know who I am and it’s up to me to make sure that the music sticks."

It seems that K. Michelle is taking some time off her musical career and trying different avenues. With the reality show, she has in fact opted for a different medium altogether. On the other hand, Michelle’s counterparts, mainly Olivia and Teairra Mari, hope to sign record deals.

The singer said about her new interest, “The point in my career now: do I even want a record deal? I fought out of a record deal, and I haven’t even been out of my deal for a year yet. Now, I’m trying to decide on how I want to put out music and is it time for me to put out music.”

While explaining her role, she said, “My role in the show is just kinda my story about being a single mother and singer who’s just going through the day-to-days of trying to get my career back on track and finding love again.”

Where K. Michelle is looking forward to her performance, she is certain that media and press will have negative feedback about her role. Let’s hope she is able to meet her own and fan’s expectations.
