A skeleton had been found in the sand dunes of the Sunset Beach in Port Waikato on 19th of May 2012 and, investigations have unearthed her identity.

She was Jane Furlong who had been seen last on Karangahape Road in Auckland some 19-years ago.

This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz of dated 20th of June 2012.

It seems Jane Furlong was 17-years old when her boyfriend Danny Norsworthy reported her as missing when she did not turn up to meet him on the 26th of May 1993 – he lodged a formal police complaint on the 28th of May 1993.

The police are treating this as a case of homicide.
