Baton Rouge - Walks like a woman

Baton Rouge Louisiana. Louisiana State District Judge Trudy White on Tuesday denied bail for a woman who is in a Baton Rouge prison who is accused of killing her eight year old son.

Lavaughn Riley, 32, received the news via videoconferencing from the judge. Her husband Michael Robertson, 46, was also denied bail on Monday from the same judge for the beating death of their son Xzayvion Riley, 8.

East Baton Rouge Parish coroner Beau Clark said Xzayvion died on June 12 due to a ruptured bowel due to blows to his stomach. The original charges of second degree cruelty to a juvenile were changed to first degree murder after Clark's report was announced on Friday.

East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said Riley admitted to the police she beat her son. Robertson told the police he did not beat his son.

Zxayvion's 10 year old sibling told the police officers her dad beat up Zxayvion with his fist from the afternoon of June 11 to the evening hours.
