It is akin to looking for a needle in a haystack but the police of Coventry have not lost hopes of recovering the remains of a woman who had gone missing 21-years ago.
They have cordoned off an area in a radius of a mile from where Nicola Payne had been sighted last and are using ground-penetrating radar and specially trained dogs.
This has been reported in skynews dated 19th of June 2012.
Nicola Payne was 18-years old when she was last seen in the Wood End area of the city on 14th of December 1991.
It seems she had left her 6-month old son Owen with her boyfriend Jason Cook, at his home in Henley Green, Coventry and was going to her parents' house.
The police had made two futile attempts to locate her.
The first time was in 1996 when they excavated the garden at a property in Coventry, after receiving a tip off.
Then again 5-years later in 2001 they dredged a canal in the city. But, although they did find some bones in the vicinity of Nicola’s disappearance, the bones turned out of animals.
Now the police have launched another search based on a tipoff.
