First Lady Michelle Obama wishes a happy Father's Day to all the dads out there and shares why President Obama is a great dad.
The first lady said,"I don't think he has missed at parent teacher conference their entire lives. He's at everything he possibly can every concert, every game that he can make."
"I'm proud of Barack not just because he's a wonderful president, but because he's a very engaged father. I feel pretty lucky. Happy fathers day to all the fathers out there. We love and appreciate you," she added.
The president, abandoned at a very young age by his own father and raised intermittently by his single mother and his grandparents in Hawaii, made the search for a father-figure a central theme in his first book, "Dreams From My Father." The first lady said that he was committed to raising his daughters, Malia and Saha, differently.
President Obama said,"What I think about is what kind of world am I leaving my two little girls. And what I realized is that life doesn't count for much unless you're willing to do your small part to leave our children, all of our children, a better world. Even if it's difficult. Even in the work seems great. That's our responsibility as fathers and as parents."
