It was an awful sight when a pack of eight wolves pounced upon a 30-year old woman zoo keeper and mauled her to death in front of the emergency staff of the zoo as they watched helplessly.
This has been reported in mailonline dated 18th of June 2012.
The Kolmarden Zoo in the Ostergotland district in Sweden was founded in 1965 and is one of the most popular attractions in Sweden.
Its enclosure of wolves is a special attraction where visitors can enter and even get near enough to pet the animals.
More than 500,000 visitors come every year.
The zoo authorities are worried because such an incident has never happened earlier and are discussing with wolf experts to find out the probable reasons.
In the absence of any eyewitness the provocation, if any, for the attack cannot be established.
