News of first child’s birth followed by a shocker: Rock star Ozzy Osbourne’s famous son Jack Osbourne has multiple sclerosis. The 26-year-old English media personality was diagnosed with illness, nearly two months after the birth of Pearl Clementine, his first child with fiancée Lisa.
On April 24, Lisa Stelly and Jack were overjoyed to welcome their first daughter together when Lisa gave birth to Pearl but the new dad was saddened to learn that he’s suffering with multiple sclerosis. The shocking news of diagnosis made Jack not only frustrated and annoyed but he also kept thinking whether why he had the illness now? While during a very recent media interview, Jack revealed that after examining his right eye; the doctors informed him he had lost as much as 60% of his vision.
Later, they broke the news to the rock legend Ozzy Osbourne’s son that he actually suffered with the inflammatory disease, also known as disseminated sclerosis or encephalomyelitis disseminata. Jack said that while he waited for final results of the diagnosis; he actually went through all different emotions and felt really, really angry. However, after two days, filled with stress and sadness, Jack realized that anger and sadness could only make things more complicated and worse.
Meanwhile, this particular illness affects the patients’ brain and the nervous system thus can destroy layers between the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. As result, process of carrying impulses around the body stops. In addition, patients may also suffer from blindness, loss of coordination, slurred speech or muscle weakness etc.
