It was a wonderful experience for the school kids to be in the company of, the Duchess of Cambridge as reported in stuff.co.nz dated 18th of June 2012.
The kids belonged to the Expanding Horizons primary school scheme at the Widehorizons Margaret McMillan House in Kent.
The Duchess did not mind sitting in the mud surrounded by a group of 8 and 9-year old kids as she sampled a piece of smokey bread – the £300 gumboots that she was wearing came in handy.
It had been made by 80-year-old French bootmaker Le Chameau.
Needless to say that she was dressed for the occasion – it consisted of a tight blue jeans by the store Zara, a khaki jumper and matching shirt by Burberry, apart from a waterproof waistcoat by outdoor clothing company Really Wild.
She left after lunch for Gloucestershire in a helicopter to be present at a charity match polo match between Price William and Prince Harry.
