Local Cleric threatens to NGOs to leave the Kohistan district in KP province.

Peshawar, Local cleric of kohistan warned he NGOs worker to leave the area till 29 June 16, 2012, other wise local people come out on the road against the NGOs. The warning issued last week in Kohistan district by a local religious leader Molvi Karim Dad, the son of EX member national assembly Molana Abdul Haleem.

According to sources the warning issued after the video scandal of Kohistan District , in which two boy dance and 4 girls clipping , that’s make situation tense because a local informed the media that Jirga decided to kill these girls why they clipping.

Supreme Court of Pakistan takes action and called the provincial government to present the girls and also investigate the issue. The Provincial government of Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa & womens commission now investigates the issue.

Meanwhile a local Clerics Molvi Karim Dad issued warning to all NGOs to leave the area. According to Molvi Karim Dad the NGOs didn’t work for the betterment of the Kohistan people but they also destroyed our tradition.

Two weeks before Molvi Karim Dad issued the warning to NGOs women worker to leave the area, other wise if they found any NGOs worker in the area, she will marry with local people forcibly.

The warning to women workers makes the situation tense for the NGOS, whose working there especially in Development and education. After the warning local NGOs recall their staff from the field and mostly work now in Peshawar and Abbot Abad.

Different NGOs in Peshawar decided to demand from the government to take the IRIS and fingerprint of the girls whose show on video , because if in a future the local community punished the girls and they have show other girls , they have a Record of Eye and finger Print.

Provincial government claim that the girls are live and news about the killing fake, but another side government couldn’t show the girls to the Supreme Court or show to the media.

Sources further added that last week unknown person threatened the international non organization in Allai Valley, after that staffs from other area vacate from Allai valley and now the INGOs stop their work there. According to sources the INGOs hire the local Khateeb (clerics) who have madrassa in Allai to control the people but unknown person threatens the INGOS staff.
