At the age of 12, this hungry, homeless girl had earned a nickname of ‘Alley Cat’ and today, at the age of 19, she is a budding artist with 3 of her works in the Royal Academy.
She prefers to remain incognito as reported in mailonline dated 16th of June 2012.
From living rough on the streets of London, she is going to join a University to study English
She was not an orphan and left her home voluntarily because it was, in her opinion, not safe due to her drunken father.
But, once on the streets, she discovered that the outside world was equally unsafe, it was not any bed of roses.
It seems she had once been attacked with a baseball bat in a bus shelter.
Suddenly, she learnt about the charity of Kids Company run by Camila Batmanghelidjh and contacted their office in London. That way, she got a shelter, clean sheets and regular food.
She continued her schooling and earned seven GCSEs.
One day, as she was having lunch with the staff, they realized her hidden potentials as an artist and encouraged her to develop her talents.
And – she has not let them down. Three of her works are on display in the Royal Academy.
