
Major General robert Mood the chief observer of the UN mission to Syria has said none of the 300 UN monitors there will go out on patrol or leave their locations whilst fighting continues.
The decision was taken after monitors were prevented from travelling to scenes of recent fighting, and in some cases the monitors themselves had been shot at.
UK foreign secretary William Hague said ceasing these patrols 'Heightened the Urgency for international action against president Bashar al Assad's regime.'
Neither of the combatants have heeded UK envoy Kofi Annan's peace proposals.
It is believed the rebels are being supplied with both medicines and light weaponry from Saudi Arabia and Qatar to sustain themselves.
After the savagery of the actions of President Bashar al Assad the whole world apart from (Russia and China who engage in the same kind of actions themselves) condemn the Syrian authority for their actions.
