Through various forms of mass media, it is obvious that most available nominees are promoted to keep a system of dependence running. We call this system government. While many argue what this system was created for, it is obvious it was never intended to be dependent upon. If that were so, founders might as well have never left England under the monarchy system. As you know, they did leave and the Colonies (USA) fought hard to keep it so that we could have independence.
We thus created a document that essentially made the people the king and the government its servants. Today we call this the Constitution. No more were “WE THE PEOPLE” going to let man rule our individual lives but instead responsibly rule ourselves. Therefore, one was given the freedom to create our dreams through business, art, music, or whatever one desired - a beautiful new way of living life that no country ever before had experienced.
The world had known nothing of this system before, as thousands of years of conditioning to be ruled over was the way. Moreover, kings in their castles and peasants below waiting for the mercy of their king to throw down bread was the routine – waiting on hand outs. A world of dependence, which is why our new ways of Liberty were so profound, that thousands would lay down their lives for their children's children's children's future.
“Give me Liberty, or Give me Death!” once said. Once knowing the freedoms of liberty, going back would be tortuous. Which is why Henry and many Americans alike would rather have died then to give up his or her new liberty.
Such passion, such life, such excitement... What happened? Like a snake that slithers slowly and unnoticed by its prey, a government has slowly slithered upon its people, blinding them with venomous lies causing its people to be paralyzed and helpless. Therefore, the people have willingly fed their government with their own lives, their own liberty.
The prey have become so blinded by its predator that they have even worshiped the predator as a master - a king. In fear of not doing so would be off with their heads! Little by little the snake has ruled its prey and little by little THE PEOPLE have given up their right as ruler and have given its kingship to its own government in fear of its venom. Furthermore, we have become pawns dictated again by its king once again. No wonder was reluctant to become president: He didn't want American's to make him or other presidents their savior.
“We are either kings or pawns of men.” - Napoleon Bonaparte
"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." - Abraham Lincoln
Only we ourselves, like our American founding forefathers, can do anything about this pressing dilemma. Yet, that takes courage which is a rare trait these days. It's hard to find anyone who wants to speak out anymore. Although it is easy to find conformers and people who just want to be positive and look away. After all, truth is ugly and it means one would have to take responsibility for one's life and country... Imagine that.
"Too often we... enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought." - John F. Kennedy
The reason people desired to be ruled over is because they don't want truth, freedom, or responsibility – they want comfort. In fact, it seems most folks just want someone to tell them what to do so they don't have to think too much on their own. The truth, freedom, and responsibility are all essential for independence but it is very uncomfortable and resistant, mostly because it requires self-change (highest form of resistance) and it goes against the grain...
“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” - Mark Twain
Many will read this and become uncomfortable; that's good and it means you are on your way to change and taking responsibility for your independence. Many will defer from the actual message of what this is really saying by taking things out of context and running with them to therefore continue to stay out of responsibility and to stay in comfort.
If you vote this year and pick your man or woman because he or she is simply a Democrat or Republican, then you missed the point, and I'm here to be in your face about it, to say: “You don't even know what freedom is.” Half of the time I hear people say they are voting for Romney because he is a Republican and then the other half votes for Obama because he is a Democrat. This is sad, because it's not American. United We Stand, Divided We Fall. Stop being good Democrats. Stop being good Republicans. Start being good Americans.
"Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future." John F. Kennedy
If you choose to vote, vote for Freedom, vote for Truth. WE THE PEOPLE. Take back your kingship.
“In the end, we return to the question, just how much do you love truth? Do you really love truth or are you just curious? Do you love it enough to rebuild your understanding to conform to a reality that doesn’t fit your current beliefs, and doesn’t feel 120% happy? Do you love truth enough to continue seeking even when it hurts, when it reveals aspects of yourself (or human society, or the universe) that are shocking, complex and disturbing, or humbling, glorious and amazing – or even, when truth is far beyond human mind itself? Just how much do we love truth? It’s a good question to ask ourselves, I think.” ― Scott Mandelker
