Woods and Toms shot is identical, even-par 70s in the afternoon while Furyk a 1-under 69 in the morning. The 42-year old Jim Furyk is the 2003 U.S. Open champion could contend for another major. “I still feel like I’ve got some game,” he said. David Toms is the winner of the 2001 PGA Championship, was able to shake off his two bogeys, made at the difficult first and sixth to stay steady. “I just hung in there,” Toms said.

Tiger Woods had been steady so far at the Lake Course, he bogeyed at 5, 6 and 7, once lead in the leaderboard for a while and took him from the lead to 1 over. Then Tiger hit a 5-iron to stay at the par-3 eighth, then ables to put a 25-footer at the 10th. His final birdie came at the par-3 13th. “You have to stay patient,” Woods said. “Got to stay present.” Check Tiger Woods scorecard at US Open, Go Here
