Euro 2012: Group A -- Poland, Russia, Czech Republic & Greece: 90 Second Guide

With one more round to go in the UEFA Euro 2012 Group Stage, let's take a look at what each team needs to do in order to qualify for the quarterfinals.

1. Russia -- 4 points. Russia is pretty much in the quarterfinals. Figuring in goal differential as a tiebreaker, the only way that Russia wouldn't qualify is if the Czech Republic and Poland tie and if Greece beats Russia by six goals.

2. Czech Republic -- 3 points. In order to qualify, the Czechs must either defeat Poland or tie with Poland along with Greece losing.

3. Poland -- 2 points. Poland has to win in order to make it to the quarterfinals.

4. Greece -- 1 point. Greece will have to defeat Russia and hope that Czech Republic and Poland play to a draw.

Weather Forecasts (provided by weather.com):

Greece vs Russia -- National Stadium (Warsaw). The forecast at match time will be clear with the temperature being twenty-four degrees Celsius. This forecast is a benefit to both countries. For Russia, no precipitation means that they will be able to move the ball at a quicker pace. For Greece, the warmer conditions could possibly fatigue the Russians quicker than usual.

Czech Republic vs Poland -- Stadion Miejski (Wroclaw). The forecast at match time will be a 40% chance of thunderstorms with the temperature being 23 degrees Celsius. If it rains, then it would benefit the Czechs because they play a more defensive style.

Predictions: I am picking Russia to win 2-1 and for the Czech Republic and Poland to tie 1-1. I am still sticking with my earlier prediction of Russia being first and the Czech Republic finishing in second in Group A.
