Tiger Woods

The US Open Golf 2012 leaderboard live coverage on the most intriguing pairing of Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson continues on Day 2 Friday, today at the Olympic Club, Lake Course in San Francisco. Tiger Woods high momentum from his dramatic victory at PGA Memorial Tournament lastweek continued Thursday at the U.S. Open Golf at the Olympic club.

However Tiger Woods steadiness tee-to-green was in contrast from his playing partners Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson who hit off the tee and off the green. Watson finished with an 8-over at 78 while Phil with 6-over 76. Mickelson and Watson should card some birdies on today if they want to make on Sunday.

Tiger Woods looked his best form in years finishing under par at the Open, his first since 2002. He made the 1st round look easy on the toughest stretch of the course, making back-to-back birdies at No. 4 and No. 5 then at 17th. He went through the demanding stretch in 1-under to seal a round of 69 and sits just one stroke behind leader Michael Thompson.

If Woods continues to do what he's doing to play for the par, he will win his 4th US Open title on Sunday whom Woods last won in 2008.

It would be nice to see Tiger Woods get back to winning major golf tournaments again and pursue The Golden Bear's record of 18 majors won.
