A woman was shot dead by cops after a car chase that culminated in a crash on a busy Brooklyn junction, witnesses and law enforcement source said.
Narcotics cops shot the woman once, said to be in her 30s, in the chest after her Toyota run into a minivan on the corner of East 38th Street and Church Avenue in East Flatbush.
As per report, she ran several lights with police in hot pursuit before crashing into the other vehicle around 5:40 p.m. The narcotics cops pursuing her ordered her to get out of the car. However, she refused instead, she put the car in reverse when a single shot was fired, witnesses said.
Witness George Ricketts recounted that after the cops fired a shot, he saw them drag the woman out of the car onto the street, blood was oozing from her chest like a hose, like a river. Then they heard her hollered to call the ambulance, saying please, please don’t let me die. The woman convulsed, her fingers curled tightly and she just died.
The woman was taken to Kings County Hospital in cardiac arrest, sources said.
