Updated: Webb Simpson wins his first major being the 2012 US Open Golf Champion on foggy Sunday at the Olympic Club San Francisco, read story here.

The 2012 U.S. Open Golf Championship are all set at the Olympic Club, Lake Course in San Francisco today. Mickelson, Woods and Watson starts their tee at 7:33 am PT. Check the US Open Live Leaderboard Go Here.

The 2012 US Open is composed of 156-man qualifiers in the field to be lead by 14-time grand slam winner Tiger Woods. Few interesting stories this year that features a 14-year-old from China and a 42-year-old teaching pro from Ohio who got into this major on his 12th attempt.

All eyes will be on the strongest Golf Championship grouping we ever knew when Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson is packed in a 1-2-3 punch group. To counter that, Luke Donald, Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood teamed up also to give it a balanced taste. Check Tiger Woods Scorecard and Results, Go Here

Rory McIlroy is the 2011 U.S. Open defending champion at Congressional with shattering record when he finished at 268 to break the 72-hole mark by four shots, and his 16-under par was four better than Woods at Pebble Beach in 2000. According to observers Tiger Woods is the favorite to win in the US Open riding on the momentum when he won the PGA Memorial Golf Tournament last week with fantastic chip in shot at 16th hole.

But the fact that Golf is almost impossible to predict under the best of circumstances when it's being played at the Olympic Club. Check this page for Tiger Woods Live Day 3 at the US Open.
