John Travolta’s sex scandal is far from over. The latest bombshell dropped over the actor is by one of his former pilots, Doug Gotterba, who claims he had a six-year-long affair with Travolta and threatens to step up with a tell-all book to reveal all the details of their relationship.
According to a report, Gotterba has already started looking for writers to assist him in penning down his side of the sexy tale.
During the past two months, the “Saturday Night Fever” actor has seen his reputation tarnished by lawsuits by two masseurs, who claimed that the actor made inappropriate sexual advances towards them during the massage sessions. Travolta has denied both claims.
It should be noted that the previous claim has been withdrawn due to certain discrepancies in the court filings. Nonetheless, the latest claim has only made things more complicated.
Gotterba’s claims have been backed by Travolta’s former secretary, Joan Edwards, who served the actor from 1978 to 1994. “I did everything for him, including taking care of his personal and professional schedules. Of course I knew he was gay. It never bothered me,” Edwards told the National Enquirer, according to a report by Radar Online.
Edwards further said that Gotterba began working for Travolta in 1981 and that’s how she met him. “We both worked for John at the same time. Doug is a wonderful guy and we are still good friends. He told me that John was gay and they had a sexual relationship," she said.
An insider told Enquirer that the details Gotterba wishes to reveal in his book would not merely crush Travolta’s acting career but may also break his marriage to Kelly Preston. "Even though she wasn't married to John at the time, she's already been terribly humiliated by this ugly scandal that doesn't seem to end. A book by a man who John carried on with for multiple years would simply be too much," the insider said.
Since the rumors first began to circulate, the actor has remained relatively low profile. However, last week, he was seen delivering a speech as actressreceived 40th AFI Life Achievement Award.
