We reported on Monday that Floyd "Money" Mayweather's lawyers had filed an emergency motion asking that the boxer be released into house arrest. The motion stated that the boxer could not work out properly and maintain his physique. He was not drinking water because he dislikes tap water and only enjoys bottled water. He wasn't eating the "low quality" food. The motion went on to say that Mayweather may never fight again because he is getting out of shape in jail. As of Monday he had been in for ten days.

Let's remember what Floyd is in jail for in the first place. In September 2010 he was involved in a domestic dispute at which time he punched his girlfriend as well as pulling her hair and twisting her arm. This took place in front of two of the couple's three children. When Mayweather was sentenced Justice Melissa Saragosa said..."no matter who you are, you have consequences to your actions when they escalate to this level of violence." He did receive a break when he was allowed to report to the jail in June which allowed him to fight Miguel Cotto in Las Vegas on May 5.

On Wednesday Justice Saragosa was once again in court to respond to Mayweather's request to be released. In denying the motion she said..."while the physical training areas and times provided to (Mayweather) may not be consistent with his prior regimen, he is indeed provided sufficient space and time for physical activity if he so chooses." ThE attorney that originally prosecuted Mayweather reminded everyone that "it's jail. Where did he think he was going...the Four Seasons?"

If Mayweather serves his full sentence, he has more than seventy days left to serve in the Las Vegas prison. Stay tuned!
