It seems to be the age for the revival of vampires – another centuries-old skeleton of a male vampire has been unearthed by archeologists in central Bulgaria as reported in canada.com dated 13th of June 2012.
The skeleton of the man in his 30s had been kept tethered to the ground by means of four iron clamps which acted as shackles and burning embers had been placed on top of his grave.
The discovery was made while carrying out excavations in a monastery courtyard in the central town of Veliko Tarnovo – it was the same place where another skeleton had been found some years earlier.
That skeleton had its hands tied hands and had been subjected to similar rites.
The dating of the bones of the latest skeleton has yet to be done but, on a rough estimate, it could be several centuries old.
