PESHAWAR: At least two security personnel killed and five others including one child and two civilian wounded when a suicide bomber targeted former Nazim and head of Aman Laskar Fahim vehicle on Tuesday in the suburban area of Badbair.

The fortunate Muhammad Faheem was at another car when the explosion occurred however he remained safe in the attack.

Police said that the suicide bomber blew himself up when car bearing registration no. 219 reached near Bazid Khel, Rabita Bridge at noon 11 am due to which two special police personnel died on the spot and five including one child who was collecting donation for mosque, two civilians and two cops injured.

After the explosion the dead bodies and injured were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital. Police cordoned off the incident area. At least 8 Kg explosive materials were used in the blast.

SHO Abid Ali told The Frontier Post that a soldier Israr was also wounded because of receiving ball barring in the blast.

Lady Reading Hospital spokes man Jamil Khan said that two dead bobies were received in the hospital who were identified as Abudal Jabar (40) son of Raz Muhammad and Naheed Ullah (38) son of Muhammad Jan while injured were Anwar Shah(35), Muhammad Asghar (30), Abdul Basit (14), Wali Ullah (12) and Ijaz (39)
