While talking at the Brookings Institution, a liberal-oriented research and policy organization, US secretary of State Hillary Clinton has expressed the concerns of the US over the supply of attack helicopters by Russia to Syria.
This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz of dated the 13th of June 2012.
There are apprehensions that such an action of Russia to send helicopters to Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime might escalate tension in the region.
It would also be counterproductive to the peace initiatives set in process by Kofi Annan.
Hillary Clinton has urged Moscow to, instead, help the U.S. push forward a political transition plan and solution for Syria to end the 15-month old conflict.
