“RUH Youth Sports Foundation” is a nonprofit organization independent of Rice University and the University of Houston, coached by student athletes and alumni from both universities. Houston basketball league is formed for the boys and girls of ages between 8-16 years who enjoy playing basketball. Our aim is to promote hard work and inspire learning in a safe and fun-filled environment. We give our services all around Texas in cities including Houston, Galveston, Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. Our tryouts start from mid-late February and the season runs until late August with an award ceremony each season.
Teams compete in 3 on 3 basketball tournaments including Hoop It Up, Hoopla 3 on 3 and more. We work on developing life changing skills in talented student athletes. Our mission is to help and guide children as they learn to make good decisions on and off the basketball court. The program encourages the kids to work hard to be the best they can be today and to become strong leaders and productive citizens in the future. Players learn to work together as a team, showing good sportsmanship and being unselfish on offense.
