Bloomberg Bans drink but Supports National Donut Day

Hyporcrits the lot of them!! "As part of his fight against obesity, New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg is calling for a ban on sugary beverages above 16 ounces at restaurants, food carts, stadiums, and movie theaters. The restriction could go into effect by March 2013, and would leave grocery stores as the final frontier for super slurpers. The ban would apply to sodas and other sugary drinks but not diet drinks, juices, and alcoholic beverages. Still, the beverage industry is calling the proposed measure "unhealthy." So we may have to say so long to super-sizing. Maybe next the mayor could shift his focus to another deadly threat: the growing number of dollar-per-slice pizza joints." +++ The proposed regulation on soda is ludicrous. If one drink isn't enough then order 2. Hence one has to wonder if there is Corporate pressure to regulate in order to double sales. Sources: www.liveleak.com www.youtube.com
