The health of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak deteriorated further, security officials said Sunday, to the extent that the doctors had to resuscitate him twice and intravenous feeding.

"The heart (Mubarak) was stopped twice. The doctors had to use a defibrillator. Sometimes it's conscious and unconscious other and refuses to eat, "said a medical source of Torah prison hospital in southern Cairo, where the former president is serving a life sentence since 2 June, repression and deaths during the revolt that ousted him last year.

Mubarak, 84, told his lawyer, Farid the Dib, his life is in danger."I want to murder in prison," he told his legal defense. The Dib confirmed that the conditions under which the former leader is in prison are "extremely serious".

The Interior Ministry officials are considering transferring him to a hospital in Cairo. According to a source who requested anonymity, Mubarak suffered since arriving in Tora Prison severe depression, breathing problems and hypertension, so it was moved to an other area .
