Award winning guitaristhas been wowing crowds with his unique musical style since his debut album in 1984. Speaking on his musical style Vai said, “I’ve always been driven by an addiction to create sounds that are unique – not better than what other people do, just different.” The drive to continually seek that uniqueness is what keeps Vai searching: “the things that have never been done before are what interest me most,” said Vai.

Steve Vai cut his musical teeth on progressive bands like Led Zepplin. In 1980 the Berklee School of Music graduate was a guitar player for the eccentric alternative rocker Frank Zappa. More than just a musician, Vai has worked with Ibanez to create new guitar innovations. Vai is a three time Grammy Award winning artist. Twelve time “Guitar Magazine” has named Vai the Best Guitarist.
When not making music the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences board member can be found with his bees – raising the insects and harvesting the honey is the one thing Vai says he does for himself.
