State Of Emergency In Myanmar

Everything seemed to be going well in Myanmar. Within one year's time, the military gave up their control of the government and began to help foster democracy throughout the country. Political activist Aung San Suu Kyi was released after being under house arrest for over 20 years. Plus, she is now a member of the Burmese Parliament.

However, there is one monkey wrench that could hinder all of this progress: Islam. President Thein Sein declared that Myanmar was under a state of emergency yesterday due to escalating violence between Muslims and Buddhists.

The cause of the violence happened in May when a Buddhist woman was raped by a group of Muslims. Why do Muslims have to mess up every country in the world?
