After a year-long haul, with such a cliffhanger ending season finale, we are back with a fresh start! This summer, kick back on your sofa and join us on another heart pumping, mind-blowing ride with True Blood. This season is sure to please all those anxious awaiting fans in meeting our favourite Bon Temps citizens and the return of the series’ most vile and cocky vampire; Russell Edgington.
Let’s take a quick recap of what we know so far:
Be warned, this article speculates on the Season 5 preview released by HBO. If you want to keep your curiosity at bay don’t read further in case of spoilers.
Sookie Stackhouse was last seen crying her eyes out while cradling Tara’s body in her arms. Since we know Tara is reappearing this season and due to the theories circling about, especially with the season 5 review that HBO has released (with a hand popping from the ground), we can safely assume that she might return as a vampire.
Bill Compton and Eric Northman get in trouble with the Authority as they try to rescue Sookie, while she confronts Debbie Pelt. This season we get a good close-up on the Authority leader Roman.
We know that this season Sookie learns more about her fairy powers. A boy vampire turned at the age of 9 has a major role amongst the Authority. Reverend Steve Newlin turns into a vampire and for some reason Jason lets him in the house (perhaps he got glamoured?).
We also know that, Lafayette’s lover, has some part to play in season 5. Alcide isn’t the quiet brooding werewolf anymore; this season we get to see more of his bad side. We will delve into a lot of Pam’s past life; how she turned into a vampire and her time with Eric.
With Bill gone from the mansion, Jessica will bring out more of her teenage side and party hard. Lastly, we will meet a new character called Nora, turned by Godric, who is a member of the Authority.
Well, I hope that refreshes everyone’s memories. Now it’s time for us to pitch in and wait with baited breath for the show to start rolling so we can continue with our speculations.
