The man with whose truck Lindsay Lohan's Porsche collided on June 8 recently gave an interview, alleging he was offered a bribe.
Since the incident, the truck driver has been identified by only his first name - James - in news reports. He said in his interview to TMZ that immediately after the accident, he called 911 and told the officials about the entire scene. He said that initially, he did not know that a celebrity was involved in the accident.
According to the details provided by James, Lohan's car was being followed by a Cadillac Escalade and it was being driven by someone associated with her current film, "Liz and Dick". The driver then watched on as the car totalled up, Lohan and her male assistant climbed out of it and went into the Cadillac. The driver also alleges that he saw Lohan's assistant grabbing a pink bag and stuffing something in it. He said that later the assistant stuffed the bag with some clothes and put it in the Cadillac. The surprises do not end here, as James also revealed that he was even offered some bribe in the case.
James told the reporters that when he tried to exchange information, the Cadillac driver tried to keep him away from the vehicle before suggesting "go to the bank."
"Him and the assistant took me across the street and told me this was some kind of famous person and they didn't want to be in the media," James told TMZ, as reported on wonderwall.com. "But I'd already called 911 because they were trying to get away from the scene. But they packed a bag and then the limousine driver told me, 'Don't mention the bag to the cops.'"
The case is now being investigated and it seems that Lilo will be in trouble again.
