It seems like Lindsay Lohan just cannot keep herself out of harm's way, as the starlet is in trouble again! Lindsay Lohan was in a really bad car accident which took place on Friday, after which she had to be taken to the hospital. According to the detail provided, Lindsay Lohan was driving her black Porsche along the Pacific Coast Highway in Los Angeles, when she collided with an 18-wheeler dump truck. As always, Lohan did not admit that it was her mistake, instead, she said that the truck driver had cut her off really badly and due to that her car lost control. According to a report by TMZ.com, Lohan's car was completely 'totalled' after the accident.
The accident took place at around 11:40 a.m. on Friday, while Lohan was on her way to the film scenes for her new upcoming movie 'Liz and Dick'. The movie revolves around the life of legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor and chronicles the love affair between her and Richard Burton. Lindsay Lohan's publicist, Steve Honig released a statement after Lohan's crash.
"Lindsay was involved in an automobile accident [on Friday] on her way to the set," her rep told wonderwall.com. "She was brought to Santa Monica UCLA hospital as a precaution. She is fine and was released less than two hours later and is already headed back to the set to resume work. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident."
According to the reports provided, Lindsay Lohan was taken to the hospital in another car, since she refused to go in the ambulance which had brought to the scene of the accident. However, her assistant was loaded onto the ambulance and taken to the hospital. Both were released after it was ensured that they are doing well and Lohan resumed her work later on.
"First and foremost, we're concerned about the well-being of Lindsay and anyone else who may have been involved in the accident," Lifetime spokesman Les Eisner told wonderwall.com, adding, "Lindsay has been doing fantastic work on the set of `Liz and Dick."'
Earlier this week, Lindsay Lohan started work on the production of 'Liz and Dick' and the filming is expected to end by the end of June. When the accident occurred, it was being expected that the filming will be delayed but that does not seem to be the case now.
