Catherine Zeta-Jones, Mary J. Blige, Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Diego Boneta and Julianne Hough were on location at the premiere of Warner Bros. Pictures Rock of Ages at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on June 8, 2012 in Hollywood, California.
Directed by Adam Shankman, the Rock of Ages stars among many others, Alec Baldwin, Mary J Blige and Eli Roth.
As the title and cast might indicate, the plot centers around musicians. Set in 1987 Los Angeles, “Drew,” played by Diego Boneta, and “Sherrie” played by Julianne Hough, are two young people chasing their dreams of making it big in the big city. When the pair meet, it's love at first sight, though their romance must overcome hurdles.
For the premiere actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays the role of “Patricia Whitmore,” wore an ultra-mini black lace sheath with a nude backing and asymmetric in that it had only a left sleeve, accessorized with black T-bar sandals.
Heroine, Julianne Hough looked statuesque in her one-shoulder gown in a bright lemongrass yellow that featured an unusually slit over the left shoulder. Hough completed the look with a French knot updo and ruby red lips.
Mary J. Blige, who plays the part of “Justice Charlier,” also wore a very unusual black dress with a shiny leather finish and a slit detailing over the left shoulder – did Julianne and Mary collaborate here?
Attending the star-studded premiere at Grauman’s were Zac Efron (in his cobalt blue shirt that matched his shoes – very, very cute!), Tobey Maguire, Ryan Seacrest, musician Bret Michaels (in no less than his skull and bone hat and red bandana!) and Bryan Cranston. Enjoy the slide show…
