The UEFA Euro 2012 are all set for opening games today as host countries Poland and Ukraine host cities venue are ready for one month action of the European Football Championship. Check for the Euro 2012 schedules/fixtures, go here.

A total of 16 national teams entered the tournament to compete alongside co-hosts Poland and Ukraine all vying for the UEFA Euro 2012 Finals Championship Cup Trophy that will be played in Olympic Stadium, Kiev on July 1. The 16 competing teams are Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Russia, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine. The most eager to watch is Euro 2008 winner defending champion Spain who defend their title. Lead by captain Iker Casillas, Spain also was the 2010 FIFA World Cup Champions.
