Here is another gruesome killing related to drug cartel, where at least 14 dismembered bodies were discovered in a vehicle outside the mayor’s office in Ciudad Mante , Tamaulipas state, north-eastern Mexico on Friday.
A report from BBC suggests that victims included 11 men and 3 women, who were all covered in a blanket with gang-related messages in it. Report says the killings happened a day after Enrique Pena Nieto, a frontrunner in presidential election, visited Tamaulipas, who vowed to reduce rate of murder crimes if he wins the race.
There are two drug gangs: two drug gangs: Zetas and Gulf cartel, fighting for a control of smuggling routes into the US. However, it was not reported if which between these two gangs was responsible of the incident.
Last month, at least 49 decapitated bodies were dumped in the city of Monterey, which Zetas drug cartel had claimed responsible.
The Zetas gang was organized by ex-elite soldiers-turned-hitmen in the 1990s and the Gulf Cartel was their former employers.
