Drug Enforcement Administration agents transport a handcuffed suspect after arresting him for narcotics trafficking at Puerto Rico's Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in San Juan

Authorities of the US Drug Enforcement agency in Puerto Rico international airport arrested 33 persons who had been involved in the drug trafficking racket as reported in BBC dated 7th of June 2012.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) was looking for 45 persons and one dozen of them were either current or former employees of American Airlines – some of them belonged to Ground Motive Dependable, the baggage handling company of the airport associated with American Airlines.

The enquiry and investigations had been going on for over a decade from 1999 to 2009 and again from 2010 and 2011 and finally the culprits have been booked.

It took a long time to come but better late than never is what people say.

The group had perfected the method of loading the contraband into the aircraft without raising any suspicion.

It seems Angel Ayala Vazquez, considered to be the top drug dealer of Puerto Rico, was involved.
