(Phoenix)- Jim Dinan, president of SMACNA Arizona’s board of trustees and president of Bel-Aire Mechanical, Inc., presented him with the award. Sapien was recognized for his contributions to the industry spanning the last 44 years, including 20 years as a trustee of SMACNA Arizona. He held numerous leadership positions on SMACNA Arizona committees and boards, including chapter president, chapter of council representative, Joint Adjustment Board, Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC), Negotiations Committee and served as a JATC instructor for 12 years. Sapien was also instrumental in the implementation of the SMACNA Arizona Contractors Award for outstanding apprentices, now in their 10th year. A United States Marine Corps veteran, he co-founded Bel-Aire Mechanical 1986, recently retiring as chairman. During that period he guided the growth of Bel-Aire Mechanical, now recognized as one of the top HVAC contractors in Arizona. SMACNA Arizona contractors are leaders in the HVAC industry.
