World Environment Day

Uttrakhand Janmanch held a demonstration holding black flags in the hands on the eve of World Environment Day. It was quire surprising that Environment day a organization in the land of Chipko Movement was opposing the environment laws. While the government officers and leaders were sitting in the a/c rooms and discussing about the anger of environment the people from the villages of Uttrakhand was demonstrating at the temperature of 42 degree in the streets of the capital shouting slogans," Forests are ours and we want them back." It was irony of environmental debates that the concerns of environment were discussed in the cool and calm a/c halls of a five star hotel and the women of hills who are the real savior of forests were agitating in the heat and dust.
