Berea Ohio. Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur said on Tuesday Cleveland Browns linebacket, 32, who claims his innocence in the infamous bounty scandal that he was a member of the New Orleans Saints is appealing his three game suspension by National Football League (NFL) commissioner Roger Goodell.
The Cleveland Browns on Tuesday opened on Tuesday a three day minicamp. Shurmur said he talked to the Browns team captain and Fujita has a postitive attitude about the challenges he is facing with the bounty scandal.
Shurmur said the Browns have not decided who will replace Fujita if his appeal is denied by the NFL officials.
Fujita is in the executive commitee of the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) and has argued on behalf of the players on safety issues. His repuation has taken a hit since his name is in the bounty scandal program. Pun intended.
