5 Bodies found in Vekol Valley

Five charred bodies, burnt beyond recognition, have been found by the Pinal County deputies – the remnants were unrecognizable and inside a Ford Expedition SUV in Vekol Valley which is a rugged, mountainous region of the desert.

This has been reported in of dated 4th of June 2012.

One of the bodies was in the rear passenger seat and four were lying in the rear cargo compartment while the front seat was empty – hence, doubts arise as to whether the victims were already dead before the SUV caught fire or were alive and were burnt to death.

The sex of the victims is not known.

This area is a well known corridor for smuggling of drugs and illegal immigrants from Mexico to Phoenix and the interior regions of the USA.

The macabre incident appears to be a drug cartel activity.
