Since 1953, Atlantic tropical storms have been named from a list generated by the National Hurricane Center. The list below is provided by the National Weather Service.
Twenty-one names are assigned to each year. If more hurricanes than names occur in a given year, the Greek alphabet is used. This year, for example, "Alpha" would follow "Wilfed."

Hanna, Ike, Josephine, Kyle, Laura, Marco, Nana, Omar, Paloma, Rene, Sally, Teddy, Vicky, Wilfred.

Ana, Bill, Claudette, Danny, Erika, Fred, Grace, Henri, Ida, Joaquin, Kate, Larry, Mindy, Nicholas, Odette, Peter, Rose, Sam, Teresa, Victor, Wanda
