His name is Brian Dewhurst, he is 80-years old and is employed by Canada’s famous circus show the Cirque du Soleil – even at this age he has not lost his charms and loves to pull others legs and keep his audience in splits as he revealed in Las Vegas on his birthday.
This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated the 3rd of June 2012.
His origin was in Britain and he made his professional debut in the European circuit and began his acts when only 13 – starting with juggling, acrobatics, stilt walking and dancing on a tightrope.
He was from a family of knife throwers, jugglers and animal trainers and it was but natural that he follows the family tradition and holds his family’s name up high.
Brian Dewhurst is the oldest performer of the Canadian circus troupe Cirque du Soleil which has 22 shows across the globe.
He manages to have 10 performances each week and stays fit by doing regular exercise and eating well. However, he does not walk the tightrope any longer.
