31-year old Mike Hall of Harrogate will complete his round-the-world trip on a bicycle in 92-days when he cycles in to Greenwich on Monday afternoon – as reported in guardian.com dated the 2nd of June 2012.
He had set off on 18th of February 2012 along with nine other riders to take part in the World Cycle Racing and has out cycled all his opponents. In fact, he has cut the previous record of 106-days which had been set in 2010 by a cool 14-days!!!
In the course of his travel, he rode through Europe, Turkey, India, Australia and to New Zealand before heading back via the US.
He travelled light and the overall weight of all his belongings along with his bike was just a little more than 16-Kg.
He carried all his belongings with him instead of relying on support services and tried to ride at least 200-miles every day to complete the 18,000-miles in 92-days.
