According to unofficial estimates at least 150 people had been killed during drone attacks in Pakistan this year. The US drone attacks in the tribal belt of Pakistan have been a constant source of tension between Islamabad and Washington, as the former considered them as counter productive in war on terror in which a large number of innocent tribesmen had been killed in the past.
The Pakistan parliament terming such attacks as blatant violations of international laws, had already demanded through its unanimous resolution that US drones in the tribal areas should immediately end, calling on Washington to realize its implications coupled with a big question mark on Pakistan’s sovereignty.
