President Barack Obama and his political electoral opponent Mitt Romney today continued virtually tied in attracting voters way to general elections of November in the United States. According to a survey by CNN and agencies ORC International, 49 percent of citizens polled said they would support the Democratic president in the feedback of winter, while 46 percent said Romney.
The same survey found that 45 percent of respondents believe that Obama understands better the national economic situation the same figure that supports the Republican former governor in this respect. Also scoring CNN / ORC showed that 31 percent of respondents believe that Romney will improve the domestic industry, while 28 percent said unemployment will fall if Obama remains in the Executive.
The U.S. economy slowed in the first quarter barely growing at an annual rate of 1.9 percent. It was the sixth consecutive quarter in which government spending fell, mainly due to budget constraints. The Commerce Department said the slower growth was due to lower public spending and a discreet sale of consumers, in contrast to an increase in domestic trade deficit.
Also the unemployment rate rose in May for the first time in a year, reaching 8.2 percent, the lowest level of job creation in 12 months, according to official figures published this week. The next presidential election will take place on Tuesday November 6, 2012. At the same shall be elected the next President and Vice President of the United States. Obama has the right to run for reelection only once. the same day elected 33 senators and the entire House of Representatives, 11 governors and state lawmakers.
