Ousted president of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak sentenced to life imprisonment by a court in Cairo. Cited his responsibility for the death of 800 protesters during Egypt unrest.
Mubarak ruled the country for 30 years, faced a possible death sentence over the killings of people who were shouting for him to step down.
Habib El Adly, former Minister of the Interior was also given a life imprisonment for aiding and abetting killing protesters.
Hosni Mubarak also made a history in the Arab world. He was the first leader convicted in his own country by the system. His two sons were acquitted of the graft charges levied against them.
Meanwhile both Gamal and Alaa faced court trial with fraud charged and insider trading. The six senior police official were acquitted for insufficient evidence against them.
