Wisconsin is in for a huge fight. This very well may be the biggest voter turnout -- possibly larger than for the presidential election!
Wisconsin is on the verge of a recall election on June 5th to either eliminate Governor Scott Walker, or keep him around. Wisconsin has been divided over many issues that Walker has addressed and bills he has signed which has affected everyone in the state in some way.
Many are furious with his actions that take away more freedom of choice, others are ecstatic that Wisconsin has a balanced budget; at the cost of cuts to education, healthcare and even help for the low to middle class.
Walker has signed bills to repeal women's rights to equal pay, eliminating abortion and rights to insurance coverage and copays for birth control. Walker also has many Union workers scrambling to get their bargaining rights back.
Walker claims that he has created jobs while statistics show that while Wisconsin has created some jobs, as soon as jobs are created, others are just as equally lost. The unemployment rate is still very high in our state compared to many other states.
While most people want a balanced budget, they do not believe that public land should be sold off at auction to anyone, or that the government should have a say in if a woman should be on contraceptives. What happened to freedom of choice? We have taken a step backwards and have time-warped back to the sexual revolution when women had to fight for their rights -- yet again.
Women are furious, teachers are furious, public workers are furious and this recall election is costing tax payers millions of dollars.
While this is all in play, Governor Walker's staff are under investigation for stealing money from families of veterans for personal vacations. While they are innocent until proven guilty, Walker is using money he shouldn't be to pay for his legal fees!
I don't think Wisconsin needs a leader of a pack of crooks. Wisconsin needs someone to lead and not corrupt and take away from the people of this state. We have been robbed and we are angry!
Wisconsin voters need to get out and vote and help decide the fate of their state. Please vote.
