Lafayette indicted by a grand jury for a stabbing death on Wednesday

Lafayette Louisiana. Authorities in Lafayette Louisiana report Soamer N Rivera Soriano was indicted on Wednesday by a grand jury in the stabbling death of 19 year old Alex Castillo a resident of Opelousas in February.

Authorites report Rivera Soriano allegedly stabbed Castillo outside the Cafe Habana restaurant on February 4, 2012 in the early morning hours after two men left the building closed for the night.

Cafe Habana is located on 911 Bertrand Drive. Two Lafayette police officers who working outside the restaurant chased Rivera Soriano after the stabbing incident and caught him a block away.

The reason of why the two men argued outside the restaurant that led to the death of Castillo was not revealed by the authorities in the case.
