Swedish researchers Peter Lindberg and Dennis Asberg were on a treasure hunt between Sweden and Finland when they stumbled upon an UFO lying in the bed of the Baltic Sea as reported in foxnews dated 29th of May 2012.
They had seen the object on sonar when they were searching for a World War I wreck and were surprise to see the circular looking object lying on the sea bed.
No one had any clue about the identity of the object because no known past shipwrecks could be associated with it – hence, it has been treated till now as an ‘unidentified flying object’.
The object is located 300 feet beneath the surface of the Baltic Sea and only ‘unidentified object’ would have been more appropriate to describe it but they probably added the extra ‘flying’ to make it mysterious and sinister.
A team of oceanographers, engineers and deep sea divers of the ‘OceanX Team’ will be visiting the site on 1st of June 2012 to carry out detailed investigation and get to the bottom of the mystery– it would be a 6 to 10 days trip.
They plan to send down deep-sea divers too along with a camera robot to record images and would also take samples of soil, rocks and water from the sea bed to check them for toxicities and radiation.
