Then Jacob offered sacrifice upon the mount, and called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and tarried all night in the mount.

-- Gen. 31:54 (KJV)

Notice the progression in the verse. First, Jacob offered a sacrifice to God. Then, he ate bread. A sacrifice doesn't mean anything unless it costs something. Offering God should be your primary focus for it to even be considered to be a sacrifice to Him.

Numerical Analysis: The numerical pattern for this verse is 4,9,3,1,5. (4) To stay in God's Word, offer to Him. (9) To overturn evil, fellowship with others. (3) To stay in the Spirit, eat. (1) To stay in the anointing, remain patient. (5) To stay in God's presence, wait and be patient.
