Lindsay Lohan has landed herself in trouble again, by failing to pay a tanning bill worth more than $40,000 despite a judge's orders to do so
It seems that Lindsay Lohan simply cannot keep herself out of trouble as the actress might have to visit the court again. This time around, the visit to the court is going to be for an unpaid salon bill worth $41,031 which she owes to a tanning company. The tanning company is owned by entrepreneur Lorit Simon and the tanning salon is based in Las Vegas by the name of Tanning Vegas. The bill is for the period from 2007 till 2009, when Lohan was a client for this company. The company has been sending constant reminders to Lilo to get her bill cleared but the actress did not pay any heed to these reminders. Nine months ago, a judge in Nevada ordered Lindsay Lohan to pay these bills but she ignored them without thinking about the consequences.
After seeing how Lindsay Lohan is not budged at all, Tanning Vegas is trying to move the case to California so that they can cite her assets and force her to pay the outstanding amount. It is not like Lindsay Lohan is short of cash or property, it's just that she likes having these brushes with law.
Most recently, Lindsay Lohan was even paid off a member of staff at the Betty Ford rehab clinic, for being violent towards her. The staff member, identified as Dawn Holland, sued Lohan following an incident in which she had to be administered a breathalyser test, but she was opposed to it. According to the details, Lohan appeared intoxicated at that time and she grabbed Holland's wrist and twisted and pulled it from eight to 10 seconds.
The case was however settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.
Lindsay Lohan was just cleared of her charges in court and was on a light probation for the time being. Her legal troubles started back in 2007 when she was arrested for drunk driving and since that time, the actress exhibited reckless behavior. Lindsay Lohan's career also took a downward plunge as her drinking and partying habits got the better of her.
After clearing her charges, Lohan was finally making progress as some acting projects were assigned to her, but now this case will bring her back to the court if she fails to pay.
