Late Princess Diana, the England Rose and the Queen of hearts, was the only royal who could won the hearts of public at large by her warm, caring and affectionate manners. She was the real princess born with her own rare destiny. After her marriage to Prince Charles, She was known to be a true devotee not only towards her public duties but also to the grooming of her two boys, William and Harry.
It is the first time when Prince William openly confessed in an interview with Kate Couric that he’d wished his mother had been able to see his wedding day. The interview was conducted at Clarence House, where Prince William lives with Kate, and it was the first time when he spoke up about his wedding plans, his relevant fears and the moments when he truly missed his mother. Sadly, William’s feelings were not so different to the people who could never forget Princess Diana since the time of her early death; it was the day when everybody wished Princess Diana would have been there.
Prince Wiiliam told Kate Couric during an interview that, 'It was the one time since she's died where I've thought to myself it would be fantastic if she was here. And just how sad really, for her more than anything, not being able to see it.I think she would have loved the day and I think, hopefully, she’d be very proud of us both for the day. I’m just very sad that she’s never going to get a chance to meet Kate.'
Prince William praised his brother, Harry, for his supporting role throughout the wedding period but he revealed that even he acutely missed his mother and was massively nervous on his wedding day. On revealing fears regarding wedding day, Prince William told, 'Everybody was nervous. 'The whole thing was a bit of a blur to be honest because there was God knows how many millions or billions of eyes focused on us. Luckily, mainly those two.'
Prince William also shared a story prior to his wedding when he saw guest list of thousands of people and he hadn’t known the one. Later, Queen asked him to tear up the original list and start with his friends, since it was his day.
The interview as a part of a special report on the Royal Family which will be aired in full on ABC tonight 29 May, 2012 at 9pm EST.
